About Lozier Heating and Cooling

Founded in 1906

Lozier Heating and Cooling was founded as a tin shop in 1906, and since then has grown to become one of the premier and most reputable heating and cooling contractors in central Iowa. Lozier continues to provide outstanding service and replacement of existing equipment, along with new installations. We enjoy a 98 percent approval rating from our customers.

Team Leadership at Lozier 

In 1997, long-time employees Thomas R. Gumm and Gary Pennington (whose tenures began in 1980 and 1991, respectively) became partners with Bill Lozier. Since then, both Bill and Tom have retired (in 2000 and 2019, respectively).

Jon Edelen joined the company in 1993 and became a partner in 2006. Ryan Zadow first joined the Lozier team in 2010, later becoming part of leadership in 2022. Together, Gary, Jon and Ryan continue to guide the company as its leaders, ushering in the next generation of technology, service and customer care for their customers.  

Our Legacy as a Top 20 Lennox Dealer

Lozier Heating and Cooling has received numerous awards, including the Lennox Circle of Excellence Award every year since 1999. This honor named us one of the top 65 dealers in North America. 

Lennox also presented us with the Dave Lennox Award in 2005, recognizing our position as one of the top 20 dealers out of the 7,000 in North America. We have received this award five times and we are the only dealer in Iowa ever to receive this highly coveted award.
